Job Summary
The Special Project Manager (SPM) will support the Greenhouse E3 Executive Team as they lead the operational and strategic execution of our mission. In addition to this, the SPM will be responsible for maintaining our team’s task management software and internal databases, as well as managing our marketing strategy and its execution.
You will join a growing national nonprofit meeting a national need— improving the success and stability of CMOs across the country. This position offers a rare opportunity to learn from and build a professional network of current and future charter school CEOs. You will learn from the program sessions and work closely with partner CMOs and intermediaries. Given the current national expansion underway, the team’s working environment will remain fast-paced and entrepreneurial.
Note on travel: Program sessions, which are typically 2.5 days, will be several times per year in regions around the country. The SPM will be expected to attend sessions in person to assist as needed like all GE3 team members. These sessions also offer the opportunity to expand the SPM’s own learning and professional development as an education executive, and their professional network through exposure to the leading education executives of the national charter school sector.
Roles & Responsibilities
Make us stronger with data
Continuously improve and maintain our fellow, coach, and partner databases and associated KPI dashboards and management reports regarding fellows, partners, supported charters, & coaches, including integrated analysis of fellow survey feedback to improve the fellow experience.
Continuously improve our fellow, partner and coach application portals and intake process as we grow.
Partner with an external technology expert / consultant to improve our data systems.
Streamline and manage team operations
Assist the executive team with prioritization, followup, and execution of tasks. ○ Initiate new tools and workflows that drive efficiency & high value collaboration. ○ Lead the continual growth of team relationships and team building within a remote work environment.
Partner with the Managing Partners to manage annual benefits review, and manage our outsourced finance, accounting and HR management firm.
Serve as Greenhouse E3 Board Secretary and support the Managing Partners to prepare for quarterly Board Meetings and Board Management.
Support our business plan & national expansion
Support business model decisions in collaboration with the CFO including programming and scaling strategy, multi-year financial model, and analysis of growth.
Support market expansion and staffing decisions related to national expansion.
Lead marketing and social media strategy to support growth
Lead brand building for GE3 using social media, and other marketing strategies in coordination with the Partner, Thought Leadership and the Managing Partners.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have technical and data management experience, and comfort managing and owning multiple projects and deadlines. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate with external and internal stakeholders, be highly responsive and task-oriented. In addition to this, the candidate will also possess the following:
● Strong organization and project management skills
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Experience managing a large project or large sets of data, and supporting data driven decision making for senior leaders
● Advanced user of Excel or Google Sheets, very comfortable writing formulas and manipulating and finding meaning and insights from data, and the ability to learn and master new software as an administrator as required
● Proactive problem solving skills and an entrepreneurial mindset
Bonus Skills & Qualifications
Self-learner and ability to identify high-priority issues and propose solutions to address them
Comfortable working in fast paced, growing organizations, working to define requirements
Experience with software systems like AirTable and data visualization software like Tableau
Interest in building the GHE3 brand; creating a compelling narrative for our mission
Ability to manage a Digital Marketing and Web Design consultant for our marketing strategy
